Un-stream-lined

Food, Travel, Design and the occassional wordiness

Travel April 18, 2010

Glass Wheels Paper Wings is about comfortable adventure and an unstreamlined world. And there is nothing more fun than planned but open-minded, big pictured but detailed-oriented, light-weight travel.

Enjoy my anecdotes and if you have had better (or worse) luck, please share. We all want to know what’s out there…and remember: *Not all who wander are lost*.

Here’s some useful links:

My Tripadvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/members/kolC (it’s all about trusting yourself, trusting your vehicle, trusting the ubiquitous goodness of man and trusting your fellow traveler’s reviews)

Means to an end: http://www.kayak.com/ Cheap tickets can be such dream-some-true-s

Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wl Get past the gender controversy and learn to read these babies. Don’t let people tell you that you never took Geometry in middle school.

Weather: http://www.weather.com/ So maybe you’re not as cushy as I am, but trust me, this can save you moolah and help you pack smarter and lighter.

Other (absolute) Favorite apps: Taxi Fare Finder and Food Maps (for restaurants shown in various TV shows)
