Cambridge History & Historical tours June 25, 2015

I don’t need to tell you that my town is steeped in history. Every US history book is going to take you on a tour of my beloved Cambridge and I swell a teeny bit in pride every time I see mention of familiar roads. But it’s not just George Washington and Paul Revere, really every turn you take in Cambridge will take you past lush gardens of celebrated poets and politicians, ex-residences of Nobel Prize winning economists and biologists and precious cheese shops frequented by none other than our beloved Julia Child.

  • There are many ways of experiencing this history…you could take a historical tour with Cambridge Historical Tours. They are ah-mazing!
  • Or you try walking on your own, peeking at the blue historical markers on each mansion. Here‘s an exhaustive list of markers… see which ones you can find. I find the following 20 most interesting. They are clubbed together in to 5 walking tours, each around 2 miles. Feel free to club them as you will.
